Christmas Eve snack?
Christmas eve i have been in charge of appetizers so I was planning on doing some three and have some ideas but I wanted a little more along with some opinions. in my family dinner is seven kinds of fish (we are Italian) so I can not do anything else with fish for snacks. in the past we had: rumaki, tortellini with pesto sauce, meatballs, sweet and sour, and hot artichoke dip. i dont want to do anything too similar things because I want to my own things and be different. So far I'm considering things like bruschetta, stuffed mushrooms, taco sauce, fruit sauce cinnamon sticks, and sausage and cheese balls. Does anyone have any opinion on this or any good ideas / recipes I can use? thanks!
What you have listed sounds impressive. You could try a trio of sauces / spreads like bruschetta, hummus and artichoke tapenade served with toasted slices of baguette. Few drinks and set around the table full of nuts, bread sticks or cheese fajitas. Chocolate covered strawberries are good. I did a shower and gave me dry apricots dipped in white chocolate, I did over a hundred and there wan't any left at the end of the match. Enjoy your family and holidays. One side for stardust answer, called Jezebel sauce and reminding me that my mom makes every year for Christmas ever, I forgot. I do not care for her, but my husband and my mom LOVE it.
